InFatChewAsian: Favorite Childhood Food – Appetizer 1

Sometimes it all starts with a childhood favorite dish...

Favorite childhood foods, that’s where our infatuation began.  You have seen how many people attend food festivals, the endless lines at new eateries, and the countless accounts dedicated to food on Instagram.  The TRP team decided to explore our deep relationship with food.  We are calling this series InFatChewAsian (Ryan cleverly came up with the name, which he reminds us every time =P).  Ryan, aka The Break Dancing Bourdain, will be hosting the entire series as Andrey and John (sous chef 1 & sous chef 2 respectively) help serve up a podcast entree dedicated to food for your listening palate.  In Appetizer 1 (episode 1 of the mini-series), we will be talking about our favorite childhood food.

Favorite Childhood Foods Outline

    • The TRP history with food
    • Why are we exploring Relationships with Food
    • How TRP ranks food, restaurants, beverages?
    • What is our childhood favorite food(s)?
    • Where does McDonald’s rank as our favorite food?

Our Food Cred:
Ryan: The Break Dancing Bourdain is a renown food blogger Foodoofus.  Check it out here.
Andrey: Sous Chef 1 has +30 years specializing in consuming Indonesian food and avid cook.

Our Rating Scale: Each of us have a star that we can apply to our episode’s central theme. With a maximum of 3-stars that can be earned at the most.

  • 1 Star = Our Favorite. Always consistent and willing to go back for seconds or thirds.
  • 0.5 Star = Somewhat inconsistent and on the fence with the quality
  • 0 Star = Forget about it. We don’t even want to go back or resample anything.
